The Vision.

I realized I’ve written a post about a painted wall in my home without talking about the vision for me choosing the specific color. So, as we move along in this journey let’s get into my vision for what I’m trying to achieve. This vision is definitely a ‘working vision’ meaning I’m developing the feel I want to incorporate in my home one day, DIY and decor piece at a time. This go round in home ownership I really wanted to play with colors. I’m really drawn to colorful, inviting homes. Whether that be moody or bright colors, there is just something so comforting about designing with color. While I really desired a bold look, it also needed to complement the black and white esthetic that I choose with my tile, backsplash and countertops throughout my home. Basically black and white as the base with fun accent colors.

I came across the below picture by Sherwin Williams on Pinterest and immediately loved how bold and moody, yet fun and inviting these jewel tone paint colors were!

I then went into my local Sherwin Williams store and picked out these exact color chips with a few others that caught my eye. All of these chips hung on my wall for several weeks as. I decided which color I would start with in my living room and kitchen. I choose Framboise for my living rooms walls and Cape Verde for my kitchen.
